Work to start this year on new apartments near SeaWorld

A new estimated $40 million apartment complex is expected to break ground by year’s end near SeaWorld Orlando. Altamonte Springs-based Picerne Development Corp. of Florida is finalizing plans for the Oasis at Grande Pines, a new 282-unit apartment complex coming to Westwood Boulevard in southwest Orlando. The complex will be part of the massive redevelopment of the Marriott Grande Pines Golf Club. Picerne Development expects to apply for permits for the apartment complex this week and should close on the land later this year, Vice President of Development Stephen Novacki told Orlando Business Journal. Picerne Development Corp. lands $33M loan to build luxury apartments near Lake Nona

Local firm Picerne Development Corp. of Florida kicked off work on a new 320-unit luxury apartment complex two miles north of Lake Nona’s Medical City in southeast Orlando. The Altamonte Springs-based firm announced it closed on a $33.15 million construction loan with M&T Bank to develop The Oasis at Moss Park. Picerne Development’s related The Oasis at Moss Park LLC on Oct. 7 spent $3.6 million to buy the 16-acre vacant site at Moss Park Road and State Road 417 from trustee Gary T. Randall, Orange County records showed. Plans for the estimated $48 million-$51 million project include four-story elevator buildings with one-, two- and three-bedroom units, plus two-story, three-bedroom townhomes with direct-entry garages, said a news release.
